These SQUARE socks, here in black and charcoal, were inspired by a small indigo piece I made using the itajime shibori technique. I clamped two wooden blocks together, then dyed the fabric around it, and when I removed the blocks, the resulting pattern looked like this (and I thought, that would make a good sock!).

81% cotton, 16% nylon, 3% lycra

Fits men's shoe sizes 7–13, women's shoe sizes 8.5–14
